03: Living arrangements

Dearest Lasli,

PayaI hope all is well there in Kakariko. It’s been a few days since I arrived in Hateno so I thought I’d let you know how things are going here.

I was a little taken aback on my first day when I realised that there was only one bedroom in Link’s house! You know the effect he has on me, so it won’t surprise you to hear that I was quite flustered and lost for words. But he was very kind and when I blurted out that I would make up a bed in the stable he insisted I use the upstairs bedroom – apparently he likes to sleep outside most nights.

When I went to bed he was sitting by the fire outdoors with a couple of unsavoury locals. And when I woke up the next morning they were all still there, gossiping and talking nonsense. He’s such a good and gentle person – I don’t know what he sees in those two no-hopers!

Although I have had to leave my home for the time being, I do feel lucky to be here. It feels important to be helping such a great hero as Link who must save Hyrule from terrible evil forces. And he is so handsome!

But I’m getting carried away and really should get on with things around the house. I will be in touch again…
